SEPHORA COLLECTION CREAM LIP STAIN MANDARIAN MUSE & BLACKBERRY SORBET

Bold lips are definitely more of a winter thing than a summer thing, for me at least. Just the thought of having to deal with sweaty skin while making sure lipstick isn't all over my face and teeth is just too much to handle. I mean aren't summers for the effortless, "I just woke up like this" look? And bold lips are a perfect compliment to pale winter skin - it gives a bit life to the face.

I decided to try out these hyped up Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain. Mandarin Muse (orangey red) and Blackberry Sorbet (dark plum) are both new colors in the collection and colors I tend to gravitate towards. I'll give them a solid 5.5 out of 10 and explain why. I love both of the colors, but unfortunately the formula wasn't my favorite. Since they're meant to be a long wearing product, the formula is on the dryer side (like Sahara Desert dry) and literally dries up in few seconds after application. And my lips felt super sore after a couple hours of wear time, so that's a double thumbs down. Overall, these lip stains are loved by many, so I would say try them out if you're in the market for an inexpensive, long wearing and pigmented lip product. However, personally I'm going to stick to the traditional lipsticks and reapply when needed. Who really needs long wearing anyways?

  13. I like the mandarin sorbet one ! It's true that it's often hard to find a good lipstick that can stay for hours without drying the lips :/ I'm currently using the Chanel one (Hydrating creme lipstick) and it's quite good :)

    1. Definitely, I feel like you can't have long lasting and moisturizing. Whenever a products says it long lasting, it's almost expected to experience some sort of dryness. I love Chanel lip products! Thanks for stopping by Kadi! xx
