On Wednesdays, we wear pink black. Actually... make that everyday I wear black. What's a better way to start off this final day of 2014 than with a whole lot of black. 2014 has definitely been the year of highest of highs and deepest of lows. What are some of your highlights from the year?

But before we finish dotting down the last sentences for our Book (or Chapter) of 2014, we all should reflect (Thanks to Into Mind, I used this) on the moments that made it a special year or a model year for 2015 as to what needs improvement. Think about what made those highs so high and how you can aim higher, and what made those lows so deep and how you can pick yourself up faster in 2015. As I look 2015 straight in the eye, I hope to accomplish many things (as listed in my little notebook, trust me there's a grocery list and then some). And finally, I'm wish everyone a Happy New Year, let's make 2015 a year to remember!

What are you looking forward to in 2015, what do you hope to accomplish for the next year, and what do you hope to do to top 2014?

Here's my version of Into the Gloss': Top Shelf, Top Window Sill. Ha, get it? Who knows this might become a monthly thing. So, I'm typically the type of person who likes to stick to what I know - in terms of skincare. I guess you can classify me as the, non-adventurous type when it comes to skincare. That being said, I've been loving Kiehl's lately, always heard great things from the brand. So I decided to finally venture out and get some of their top-sellers. First one up is the Kiehl's Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash. I recently bought this face cleanser because I was running low on my Bioderma Sébium Foaming Gel, which I bought in Paris nearly 2 years ago (I bought 2 packs of 2 - super cheap at the French pharmacy). The reason why this Calendula Face Wash caught my eye was because it's soap-free! I find that soap-free cleansers work better on my skin because it is less drying. They don't strip your skin, yet it still leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean. I've only had this cleanser for a week now, but I can already tell that it's going to be a repurchase. Oh and ps: a little goes a long way.

This, just about every beauty blogger has raved about product, NUXE Rêve de Miel Lip Balm is the BALM DOT COM! With chapped everything season coming up, this balm will be the perfect honey blanket to protect those lushes lips from the harsh winter breeze. This balm was another product I stocked up on while in Paris, because it's that good. It also works super well under lip products - almost like a primer. The balm is matte (no shine whatsoever), so it doesn't effect those burgundy- wine stain lips during this winter holiday season.
Some other Kiehl's products that I've been absolutely loving are the Midnight Recovery Concentrate and Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Masque. The Midnight Recovery Concentrate is seriously magic in a little blue bottle. I purchased this miracle product around early June, so I had about 6 months to test it out. And I can honestly say this is hand down the best skincare product I've ever tried. It makes my skin super smooth/ hydrated and glow in the morning. I like to use about 2 to 3 drops under my Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel.

And finally, the Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Masque by Kiehl's. Everyone needs a good Sunday face mask or whenever your self-pamper day is during the week. I like to use a pore cleansing mask at least once a week, twice if it's an extra stressful week. This Rare Earth mask helps unclog pores  and get rid of any dead skin cells from the week. I've had this mask for about 2 weeks. But, from the few times I've used it - I can say it does the job, leaving my skin feeling refreshed AND it isn't extremely drying or hard to wash off (major pluses in my book when it comes to face mask). Hope you guys liked reading the first of my Top Window Sill!

With the weather cooling down, it could only mean one thing... monochromes come out to play (not like they already do year round)! I love pairing monochrome looks with a bit of color. Today, I took out my lemon color crossbody  handbag for a pop of color... hence the lemon poppy. Oh and Happy First of December! And just a friendly reminder, you have one month to finish The Book of 2014. Make the last chapter the best one (or a cliffhanger leading into 2015!
