So long October, you were so last month. This past month has really flown by, and I've been enjoying the gradual introduction to fall crisp weather - but here in SC it has been such a tease, our afternoons still get in the 80s ... ew. Here's a preview of some of my fall/ winter staples that I'll be sporting all season. I love the colder months because who doesn't like to  bundle up in layers. And let's face it, winter coats are an easy cheat to making any outfit look put together. * This carmel beige peacoat was custom-made in Shanghai but here is a similar one *

Hello there, long time no blog. I've been busy with other "life" things, so I haven't had the time sit down and photograph/ write a blog post. I REALLY want to post outfit posts (it's mainly why I wanted to create this space), but it's difficult without having someone to shoot them for me - the tripod and remote can be tricky at times. Hopefully my sister will be able to help me out during her fall break *thanks Camilla in advance*. Plus, I don't want to publish anything I not happy with.  Nevertheless, here's one for you guys. These are some of my favorite things I've been enjoying recently - think of it as a mid-monthly favorites. Firstly, let me just say, I've been enjoying the slight transition from summer to fall - the reason I say slight is because here in South Carolina, it still feels like summer.

Beverage | Okay so tea is usually my choice of beverage - on average I drink about 2 - 3 cups a day (it's my "coffee"). I've been really loving Jasmine Green Tea because I find that green tea is too strong for my liking, and the jasmine really helps to balance it out. I especially like the Stassen Pure Ceylon Jasmine Green Tea because it is super fragrant and you can keep adding hot warm for a second or even third cup.

Makeup | As for makeup, I've been reaching for this MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle. I've had this product for quite sometime - it was actually my sister's before I stole it from her. During the cooler months, I like using highlighter on my cheek bones because my skin tends to look dull and dry. Highlighter is a great way to inject a bit of glow and life back into your skin during the colder months.

Hair | There's two products that I've been using more recently: my Wet Brush and Ojon Damage Reverse Instant Restorative Hair Serum. So I finally caved and bought The Wet Brush earlier this month, and I can say I don't regret it. I was using the Tangle Teezer before ( I still love it), but I wanted something with a handle and less plasticy, if that makes any sense. I have extremely fine hair and that means super knotty hair after I wash it. The Wet Brush helps me brush through my hair without damaging it while it's still wet. And the Ojon Damage Reverse Instant Restorative Hair Serum is my second hair product. I've been putting it on the ends of my hair at night, and I feel like it has been really helping my fine hair. On a side note: I haven't been washing my hair everyday *gasp* - now I wash every other day and it has seriously changed my whole hair game. Before my hair would get super greasy after one day but now that my hair is trained, I've been enjoying the second day hair.

Extra | Look at the beautiful Salt Crystal Candle Holder (the sticker says it was made in Pakistan). I picked up this beauty from TJ Maxx. I had been eyeing this baby up for awhile now, and it doesn't help that I had bought a pack of 100 tea light candles from IKEA ages ago. I like how pretty it looks when there's a candle burning, it gives off a nice relaxing vibe.

Nails | As for nails, I bought this Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy in All or Nothing because I've been wanting a baby nude pink color. I already knew that this formula is great because I own a red wine color, so I thought I would give this nude pink a try. It is definitely a natural color but sometimes it's not all about those reds, navy blue and blacks - aka the colors I would mostly wear.

Tech | Would loves tangled laptop and phone cords? That's right Nobody. I found these velcro cord ties to keep my cords from tangling up when taking them around. These little things make life so much easier, okay that's an exaggeration, but they let you not stress over a bunch of tangle cords. And the final thing I've been loving is my new iPhone case! Yes, I've been using my brand new phone without a case. When it comes to phone cases, I'm super fussy about it because I need them to be just right. I found this case in the sale section of Office Depot - it was reduced from 19.99 to 2.94. I thought why not, at least it's something to protect my naked phone and makes me feel like it won't slide out of my hands. Also, the print isn't terrible - pretty simple and standard. This case isn't perfect but it will do for now.

Hope you guys enjoyed the mid-month favorites. I'm going to try to post more often and really make time for blogging because I enjoy doing it and every time I pickup my camera, I learn something new. Another Extra favorite to add would be my new Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 lens. It was super affordable for basic beginner like myself and delivers crisp clean photos (and great aperture to give the blurred background effect). I'm hoping to shoot my outfit post with this lens. Photography is definitely added on to my list of hobbies.

As you can probably tell from my previous posts, I love plants (especially succulents and cacti)! They are super easy to maintain and make any dull room come to life. And not to mention they (plants) are probably one of the most photogenic subjects in my opinion. I love taking pictures of plants because they have a lot of depth, shapes and color to them. Also recently, I have been experimenting with my camera and learning what all the different functions and buttons do, and shooting plants have definitely been great practice. As you can tell from the photographs, I'm still learning all about exposure/ shutter speed/ aperture. *Just in case you are wondering, my photographs are shot with a Canon EOS Rebel T4i with 18-55mm lens* Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday. xx
